NanoSen at Robotics Summit & Expo 2026 in Boston
On May 27-28, NanoSen will be exhibiting at the Robotics Summit & Expo 2026 in Boston, Booth 340.
The event brings together leading robotics engineers, system integrators, and technology developers focused on building the next generation of intelligent machines. As robotics moves into more dynamic and unstructured environments, sensing becomes a central capability.
Why Force Sensing Matters in Robotics
Robotic systems are no longer isolated.
They interact with objects, surfaces, and increasingly with people.
This shift requires a deeper level of awareness:
- detecting contact and pressure
- adapting grip and movement in real time
- enabling safe and precise interaction
Force sensing is a key enabler for these capabilities – especially when it can be integrated directly into the system.
From Component to Integration
At the Robotics Summit, NanoSen will present its Force Sensing Impedance (FSI) technology and how it enables flexible, integration-ready sensing. FSI technology allows sensing to become part of the structure itself – opening new possibilities in robotic design.
Live Demonstrator: Sensor-Integrated Gripper
ToTogether with Sarcomere Dynamics, we will present a robotic gripper demonstrator with integrated force sensing. The system shows how sensing can move directly into the contact layer. When interacting with objects, changes in force distribution are detected in real time, allowing the gripper to adjust its grip accordingly.
Instead of fixed force profiles, this enables a more adaptive approach to gripping, responsive to what actually happens at the interface.
