FORCE SENSING IMPEDANCE TECHNOLOGY
Specific Advantages
The NanoSen Sensor Kit combines polymer nanocomposite sensing elements with our proprietary Force Sensing Impedance (FSI) technology and dedicated readout electronics. This system-level approach enables stable and reliable force measurements across a wide measurement range.
Detailed technical specifications and performance data are available in the following documentation:
Readout electronics
Necessary for impedance force sensor output with five sensor channels.
5 PNC force sensors
20 mm diameter PNC sensor material combined with suitable contact electrodes.
USB cable
For connecting the readout electronics to a PC for power and serial data transmission.
LED calibration module
Allows temporary limitation of the LED activation range for use with one force sensor.
Large measurement range
Through utilizing our patented impedance readout method, our 20mm PNC force sensors can perform measurements from 1g to 15kg with only a single sensor.
Robust sensor design
The base PNC material is a medical grade elastomere, capable of withstanding 10MPa of pressure without being damaged.
Five sensor readouts
The PNC sensor kit provides five 20mm force sensors, which can be used in parallel with our readout electronics for measuring forces at different points.
Easy calibration LED readout
Equipped with minimum and maximum range calibration buttons, the LED strip can be used for visualizing force measurements without the need for separate programing.
Seamless integration
Our readout electronics can be integrated with established hardware platforms through USB and I²C. With unique hardware addressing, more than one kit can be used within the same system.
Compact design
Being only 60mm long and 35mm wide, our readout electronics can be installed with ease.
